Following the successful installation of a similar oven in their Poland facility, CAV have just taken delivery of a second, larger Rapid-Quench Bottom-Loading Oven for their facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. JLS were contracted to supply, deliver and install the oven, which is designed for both solution and precipitation heat treatment of aluminium aerostructure panels to AMS2750D Class 2.

Converteam have just taken delivery of a new JLS Electrically Heated Top-Hat Oven for their facility in Rugby, Warwickshire. The oven will be used for the pre-heating of couplings and rotors, prior to shrink fitting, and will replace an existing, smaller oven.

In 2008, JLS celebrated its 70th Anniversary. Founded in 1938 by James Lobate Smith in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The company patented their design for an Air Circulating Oven, the first oven being sold to AP Springs of Birmingham. With business booming during and after WW2, the company moved to larger premises in Redditch in 1955.
The JLS name is synonymous with rugged build quality and excellent temperature distribution.
