Why Choose JLS Ovens

At JLS Ovens, our focus is entirely on the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of bespoke ovens and furnaces. We ensure that each product is custom-made to meet the specific requirements of our customers. Every member of our team, from designers to engineers, shares a common goal: delivering the perfect product for every customer.

Whether it’s initial consultation or final commissioning, we maintain high standards throughout every phase of production. Our commitment is to ensure that every oven and furnace we create is exactly what our clients need, without compromise.

We invite customers to visit our facility in Boston, where you can witness our manufacturing process in action and see firsthand how we create industry-leading ovens and furnaces!

We offer a standard 12-month warranty with all our products, and once that expires, we recommend securing a maintenance contract to keep your equipment in top condition.

Who better to maintain your equipment than the very team who designed and built it? We offer comprehensive service and maintenance contracts at competitive rates to ensure your equipment stays safe and functional.

At JLS Ovens, customer support doesn’t end with the sale. You’ll continue to work with the same team that guided you through the sales process, meaning no need for a separate customer service department. Whether you have post-sale questions or need assistance, you’ll speak with familiar faces who are always ready to help!

Just call us up and speak to the same familiar faces you dealt with previously. We are always happy to help.

Our commitment to delivering high-quality products has earned us the loyalty of a prestigious client base that trusts us to meet their needs, time and again.

From the moment you make your first call to JLS Ovens to the finished product arriving on site and being installed and commissioned, the whole process is handled from our one site in Boston, UK.

We have an efficient, dedicated sales team who will be with you every step of the way to deal with any queries and help develop the right product to suit your requirements.

We have our own design team to bring your concept to life.

We design and build our own control panels with directly employed electricians. All frame fabrication, sheet metalwork and mechanical fitting is completed in-house by JLS Ovens employees.

Installation, commissioning, and training at the customer’s site is also carried out by JLS Ovens fitters and electricians.

We are with you every step of the way and JLS Ovens is the only company you will deal with during the process.

When buying from other companies with standard designs you are often left with a product that is over designed for your application. Unlike companies that sell standard designs, we only include features that are essential to your needs. You’ll never pay for unnecessary components or over-engineered designs. We focus on delivering precisely what you require, with the necessary safety features, while keeping you within budget.

On the same note, we will also ensure that the product comes with everything you do need including any safety features.

At JLS Ovens, every product is tailored to the specific needs of clients. We don't offer standard sizes, ensuring that each oven or furnace is designed from the ground up to fit your exact process requirements.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do at JLS Ovens. Working with prestigious clients across industries such as aerospace, automotive, electrical, engineering, composites, rubber, plastics, glass, and pharmaceuticals, we leave no room for error.

With deep experience in aerospace standards, we ensure meticulous attention to detail in every design and manufacturing project, whether it's a large industrial furnace or a small box oven.

We are confident when we say that you won’t find another manufacturer with our experience and expertise.

JLS Ovens started with creating Hedinair Ovens in a traditional style.

Now, 50 years later, JLS Ovens are Britain’s leading industrial oven, furnace, and dryer manufacturer.

What to consider When Buying an Industrial Oven or Furnace

Do you have a budget in mind?

Sharing your budget upfront helps us create a realistic proposal that meets your needs without overspending. Once we know your requirements, we’ll work with you to offer the best product that aligns with both your application and your price range.

The choice between electric or gas-fired heating, as well as options like thermal fluid, steam, and indirect gas-fired, depends on your site’s facilities.

The more information we have at the inquiry stage, the more accurately we can recommend the most economical heating media for your needs.

Where does the door need to be?

Consider where the oven door needs to be.

While most box ovens come with a single front-hinged door, we offer several alternatives. Double doors can be provided where space is limited, though single doors generally offer better temperature uniformity and cost savings.

For tight spaces or larger ovens, we also provide vertical or sliding hydraulic doors.

Additionally, tunnel ovens with doors at both ends allow for efficient loading and unloading. We even offer top-loaded ovens with various lid configurations.

Some standards call for ovens and furnaces to be calibrated to function within a certain temperature range. For example, 250°C +/- 3°C.

All our ovens will have a certain element of uniformity (approx. +/-5°C to +/-10°C) as standard. All the above means is that the oven will be calibrated and certified to your chosen standard.

If you require temperature uniformity or you are working to a certain specification or standard just let us know. At JLS Ovens, we are familiar with all the industry standards and have vast experience designing and manufacturing ovens to suit.

Let us know how quickly the oven or furnace needs to reach its operating temperature and how long it needs to stay there.

If you have a specific process time, we’ll work to ensure it’s met.

How big does the oven need to be?

The size of your oven is another important factor.

At JLS Ovens, we base the required internal dimensions on the size of the product being processed. A general rule is to add 100mm to each dimension of your largest product to determine the oven size.

For example, a 500x500x500mm product would need an oven measuring 600x600x600mm.

Also, account for any additional space needed for loading techniques, such as trolleys. If temperature equality is required, the calibrated area must be expanded by approximately 400mm. If you're unsure of the size, just provide your product dimensions, and we'll do the calculations for you.

What temperature does your process require?

Determining the correct temperature for your process is crucial to avoid unnecessary costs. While it might be tempting to over assume, this can increase the price of your industrial oven or industrial furnace.

Ovens typically range from ambient to 650°C, while furnaces operate from 500°C to 1300°C. For instance, once an oven exceeds 350°C, the internal lining must switch from aluminized to stainless steel, leading to a significant cost increase. Understanding your exact temperature needs will help you get a more accurate price. If unsure, we can guide you in the right direction.
