Following the successful installation of a similar oven in their Poland facility, CAV have just taken delivery of a second, larger Rapid-Quench Bottom-Loading Oven for their facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. JLS were contracted to supply, deliver and install the oven, which is designed for both solution and precipitation heat treatment of aluminium aerostructure panels to AMS2750D Class 2.

Having a long association with JLS, Cross recently underlined their confidence in JLS products and services by ordering another three Front-Loading Ovens for their Devizes facility. Two ovens (one electric, one indirect natural gas) are rated at 650°C, while the other (direct natural gas) is rated at 790°C.

As part of continued investment in the site, Goodrich ordered three ovens from JLS for the heat treatment of aluminium alloy actuator bodies. The plant consists of two front-loading batch ovens for precipitation heat treatment, and a rapid-quench bottom-loading oven, dedicated to solution heat treatment. JLS recently supplied a Front-Loading Electric Batch Oven for heat treatment to Praxair’s Swindon facility. The oven complies with the requirements of AMS2750D - Class 4.

While not originally specified to AMS2750D standards, JLS have been consulted to upgrade to oven to comply as a Class 2 oven.
