Cobham Advanced Composites is part of the Defence Electronics Systems Division of Cobham plc and operates from two facilities, based in Leicestershire and Hertfordshire.
The company can trace its origins back as far as 1955 and has a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of a wide range of structures for the Aerospace, Defence and Communications industries.
JLS engineers recently refurbished two existing JLS ovens at the Shepshed site, and converted them from Electric Heating to Direct Gas Firing. Not only was the project completed successfully on site, but the performance of the ovens is such that they comply with AMS2750D, Class 1.
